Our DHS Powerlifting Girls team did amazing job this weekend at the regional meet!
Idalie Lopez, Libby Weatherford, and Journee Mekdara brought home Best Lifter Awards. Hannah Hernandez now holds the Regional Squat Record 285. Journee Mekdara, Hannah Hernandez, America Arenivar, Danica Bogart, Emily Rubio, Adi Farni, Brisa Adame, Libby Weatherford and Emily Pelayo will be advancing to State. Congratulations!!
Ruby Rivero will be advancing to the TAFE National Competition in Florida. Only 2 students in the entire state of Texas will advance in her category. Congratulations Ruby!!
Cultural Celebration at DJHS was a huge success, again!!

Over 300 student welders from 15 states competed in Tulsa the weekend of February 25th. Eight DHS students placed in the top 25 winners. Isaac Venzor took 1st place, and received a full ride scholarship of $20,000 to the Tulsa Welding School. Congratulations!!
Congratulations to Miguel Grajeda for making the 4A All-State Band! Awesome job! Miguel is the 9th best tuba player in 4A in the state of Texas and part of the ATSSB Symphonic Band.
