The Texas Education Code (TEC) “Requires all districts and charters to evaluate their own performance, as well as that of each of their campuses, in community and student engagement. Districts must assign—both to themselves and to each of their campuses.” Dumas Independent School District is in compliance with all legislative statutory reporting and policy requirements.

Ratings, Report Cards, and Performance Reports
Every public school in Texas gets one of two accountability ratings: Met Standard or Improvement Required. Schools receiving the Met Standard rating may qualify for distinctions. The State Report Cards are required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. They provide information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures. Links to Federal Report Cards and Texas Academic Performance Reports are also provided.
